QUICK LINKS
Craft East Buyers’ Expo is a vehicle for the purpose of promoting crafts and giftware manufactured exclusively in the Atlantic Provinces. For two days in February the finest in candles, clothing, food, glass, home décor, jewellery, leather, metal, native, paintings, paper, pottery, stone, wood and much more will be gathered at the Homewood Suites by Hilton & Conference Centre in beautiful downtown Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
For over 40 years, the Craft East Buyers’ Expo (formerly Atlantic Craft Trade Show) has attracted buyers from across Canada, the United States and other offshore locations. This event is jointly sponsored by the governments of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland & Labrador. Products at the expo are unique and are juried to ensure that standards of excellence are maintained and to guarantee that they are indeed produced and manufactured in Atlantic Canada.
Open only to the trade, the Craft East Buyers’ Expo highlights high quality professional producers rarely seen elsewhere. We invite you to browse our Craft East Virtual Marketplace, which allows you to browse and place orders for products made by our registered craftspeople from across the Atlantic provinces. By creating a Marketplace profile, you can also register to come and see us live at the event.
Read some feedback from some of our retail visitors:
“It is harder and harder to find quality products that are not widely seen in the US gift market and Nova Scotia proved to be a great place to find new designers and giftware that will have a long-term fit for us. I can’t thank you enough for the opportunity to attend this year. It was really special!” – Eric Huck, Detroit Institute of Arts, Detroit MI
“I found some great products that I would not have found if I did not attend the Craft East Buyers’ Expo. The overall variety of the Expo was excellent, and the craftsmanship was top notch!” – Stacey Stachow, Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, Hartford CT
“As a museum store buyer, I want unique handmade products and this was a goldmine. I found much more than I had anticipated finding as the quality and originality of product was outstanding. The expo setup was organized and easy to shop. The makers and expo hosts were accommodating and easy to work with. I will suggest Craft East Buyer Expo to other museum buyers due to the quality, organization, and hospitality that I experienced.” – Susan Tudor, Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens, Jacksonville FL
“Attending the Craft East Buyers’ Expo was a highlight of my merchant career. The quality and innovation of the artisans and their craft was evidenced by the beautiful nature and bountiful resources of the region. It was an impressive display of materials, skill and craftsmanship.” – April Lykos, ShoptheSymphony.com
