Terms of Use Agreement
By registering a profile with the Craft Alliance website, you agree to abide by these terms of usage of the site.
1. Intellectual Property
The Craft Alliance web platform, its original content, features and functionality, are property of Craft Alliance ~ Alliance métiers d’art. These materials are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret and other intellectual property or proprietary laws. Reproduction of all Craft Alliance proprietary content is hereby prohibited unless otherwise granted by the Craft Alliance.
2. Third Party Information & User Submissions
By using the Craft Alliance site & creating a profile, you affirm your ownership of the rights to all products and images submitted to your profile. You accept the responsibility to display the truest representation of your products, and acknowledge that any intentional misrepresentation of products may result in the termination of your account. Craft Alliance reserves the right to remove any uploaded materials deemed to be infringing on the design copyrights of another artist or company. The Craft Alliance website may provide links to other Internet sites. Craft Alliance has no control over such sites; it does not endorse, nor is it responsible for, any such sites of the information, material, products or services contained on or accessible through those other Internet sites.
3. Professionalism Agreement & Termination of Registration
As a business to business networking platform, all users of the site are expected to behave in a professional manner in their use of the Craft Alliance web portal, and any users deemed of exhibiting inappropriate behaviour may be subject to removal of their profile and cancellation of their subscription. Such behaviour includes, but is not limited to, inappropriate messaging of other users, spamming, inappropriate use of profile pages, and fraudulent representation of products. By making use of the public profiles and built-in communications devices, you agree to only engage in exchanging messages and material that are related to the B2B nature of the website. The Craft Alliance holds the right to terminate your access to the Site, without cause or notice, which may result in the forfeiture and destruction of all information associated with your account. All provisions of this Agreement that, by their nature, should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.
4. Limitation of Liability Disclaimer
Craft Alliance assumes no liability with regards to any type of business transaction occurring on or facilitated through the site. Always use caution when sharing personal information and business information when conducting business-related transactions online. Craft Alliance ~ Alliance Métiers d’art is not responsible for errors found in the content of the website, or for the information presented on this site being accurate, complete or suitable for any purpose.
5. Communications
Craft Alliance may, on occasion, contact with you via email to communicate changes and updates to the website, or to relay opportunities available to registered users. By creating a registered profile, and selecting “I accept” in the email opt-in section of the registration form, you give your express consent to receiving occasional communications from Craft Alliance. You may choose to opt-out of this agreement by not selecting the “I accept” option, or by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link in any email communication you may receive. Craft Alliance will never share your contact information with outside sources unless specifically receiving your consent to do so.
6. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Craft Alliance ~ Alliance Métiers d’art, its affiliates, its governing board, employees, partners, funders and suppliers from any liabilities, losses, claims, demands, and expenses related to (a) your use of the Website; or (b) violations of these Terms of Use.
This User Agreement is governed by the law of the Province of Nova Scotia and the laws of Canada
