Craft East Buyers’ Expo: Virtual Marketplace (Ongoing)

CRAFT EAST VIRTUAL MARKETPLACE is here!

Our goal with the Craft East Virtual Marketplace is to increase opportunities and visibility for wholesale craft producers.  We have developed a digital extension of the Craft East Buyers’ Expo.  The virtual marketplace for buying and selling wholesale Atlantic Canadian craft is online at www.marketplace.crafteast.ca.

Craft East Buyers’ Expo participants are eligible to participate in the Virtual Marketplace at no charge. Producers who have not currently exhibiting at Craft East or who have not previously exhibited at Craft East Buyers’ Expo can register for a one-year portal listing for $200; upon payment, a coupon code will be emailed, allowing this to also count as the deposit contribution for the 2024 Craft East Buyers’ Expo event. Marketplace producers who choose to continue their memberships but not register for the trade show will incur no further costs.

Enhancements for buyers include:

– An expanded Marketplace functionality: Retail buyers will be able to browse wholesale products available and sort them by category, without having to click on each individual profile, making for a more fluid and enjoyable browsing experience. Products will also link back to the maker’s profile page to see the full range of products available.

– A new cart function which allows buyers to place orders directly through the platform. Producers will receive an order generated from the Buyer’s cart, allowing them to contact the buyer directly to finalize details on shipping, etc.

– Several other fixes (auto re-sizing images, improved visibility of the search function, etc.) to ensure a more enjoyable shopping experience for wholesale buyers.

Please note: Craft East Buyers’ Expo and Craft Alliance Atlantic Association do not process sales. This is an order-placing platform – orders are sent directly to your inbox, with transactions to be completed between the producer and the retailer.
