Craft East Expo 2022 – CANCELLED!
Craft Alliance has made the decision to Cancel the upcoming Craft East Buyers’ Expo for March 19-20, 2022 in Halifax. We apologize for the late notice, however, it took the last two weeks to get final details and verifications from the Nova Scotia government, with respect to the capacity limits for our event venue, which enabled us to determine gathering limits for our event.
Nova Scotia is currently on a 3 Phase re-opening process. In Phase 1, until Mid-March. The government is expected to be in Phase 3 (least restrictions) by mid-late April. However, that is not guaranteed. We have determined that we are not able to host an event in either Phase 1 or Phase 2 of the reopening process, which includes our previously announced March and alternate early April dates.
This decision has been made, primarily based on the financial risk associated with planning and hosting possible dates in late April or May, that could potentially be cancelled. In the event that was to happen, we would not have the ability to refund any funds to any exhibitors and the organization would also take a huge financial hit, as we would have already committed funds to venue and other supplier contracts.
We thank all our Retailers and Exhibitors for their patience as we navigate regulations during this time. Details on Craft East 2023 will be posted online soon!
