Craft Alliance is planning an initiative to further develop export markets for Atlantic Canadian craft producers Geared towards Indigenous artists from all four Atlantic provinces that are actively creating, making and selling their work either in person (through markets, fairs, etc.) or online, this project aims to bring a group of up to 12 Indigenous craft artists from the Atlantic Canada region to the Santa Fe Indian Market in August 2025.
Please read carefully the information below and let us know if you are interested in participating in this project. Craft Alliance will work with interested artists to help submit their application online direct to SWAIA, which closes on February 7th, 2025.
Artists must be a resident of one of the four Atlantic provinces and reside in that jurisdiction at the time of application to SWAIA and must provide documentation of their Indigeneity to apply – this is a SWAIA requirement. – i.e. digital image of your status card and/or beneficiary number document.
SWAIA will blindly jury the applications and artists that meet the artwork classification standards, may be offered a place in the Showcase under the Craft Alliance booth.
