Craft Alliance Director named Fellow of the College, by New Brunswick College of Craft & Design

 

 

 

Today, June 6th, 2024, The New Brunswick College of Craft & Design (NBCCD) has named Bernard M. Burton, Executive Director of Craft Alliance Atlantic, as a Fellow of the College, at the NBCCD 2024 Convocation in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

In 1988, in celebration of the colleges 50th Anniversary, the college established Fellows of the New Brunswick College of Craft & Design.  Since that time, over 60 individuals have been named Fellows of the College.  An Honorary title given to those individuals who have made a significant contribution to the development and well being of the college and the people who work there.

 

In response to the honor, Bernard said, “I am honored and humbled to be recognized in this manner by the New Brunswick College of Craft & Design. I am also honored to be in the company of other Fellows of the College, who I have known and admired for many years, including Brigitte Clavette, Kathryn McCarroll, Trudy Gallagher and many others.”

The mission of the New Brunswick College of Craft & Design is to empower learners to forge sustainable, creative careers.  The New Brunswick College of Craft & Design has never been one to quietly fit in, likely because of the unique artisans who make up the culture of this place.
