Meet Spencer Morris – CRAFT Hub Activator Program Coordinator
‘Kwe!/Hello! My name is Spencer (they/them) and I am the CRAFT Hub Activator Program Coordinator at Craft Alliance.
I am 21 years old, two spirit, and Mi’kmaq; and outside of my role here I describe myself as a researcher, artist, email-sender, skateboarder — and student studying Sociology and Psychology at Saint Mary’s University in K’jipuktuk/Halifax!
I am extremely excited to be working with Craft Alliance on the Activator Program. I believe my lived experience; EDI (Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) work; and studies – equips me with skills to able to foster an environment of inclusion and collaboration between myself and participants – so that they feel heard and understood. I believe this is the foundation for good work and development.
I look forward to the official launch of the Activator program in July and to further communicate with our fantastic collaborators, consultants, and artists.
Wela’lin/thank you for reading,
Spencer (they/them); CRAFT Hub Activator Program Coordinator
